KAMILA IżYKOWICZ

— futures designer, researcher, and internationally exhibited artist (MA Design Futures, RCA). She leads Futures Design, a practice blending research, storytelling, and design to explore how sensory experience shapes time, legacy, and social–ecological systems. Her projects have been showcased at Tate Modern, Dubai Futures Forum, Design Indaba, and major design weeks across Europe. Her awards include CERN’s Far Futuring Grand Challenge and the Creative Conscience Prize. She has published in academic journals and presented at institutions including Kingston University, Northumbria, the University at Buffalo, and the Royal College of Art, as well as with industry partners such as John Lewis Partnership.

Founded Futures Design, an independent practice, with AuraForest showcased at the Dubai Future Forum 2025.


Co-founded Dziedziniec Rydgiera, a design-led hostel and café in Wrocław (Pl), shaping its vision, brand, and spatial design.

Futures Designer at the John Lewis Partnership, providing actionable foresight through analysis, storytelling, and prototyping to support long-term strategic thinking.

MA Design Futures (RCA, distinction), thesis Bio-parallels: rebuilding empathy between human and nonhuman. Exhibited internationally, awarded Far Futuring (CERN, Logitech) and Creative Conscience, and presented at international conferences.

Speculative design and art projects gained recognition through exhibitions including Tate Modern and European design weeks.

Earning the Art & Fashion Forum 5 Senses Award in 2015 and a Central Saint Martins course prize.

 

​BA Design (distinction) following studies in Human Sciences, with Cycles of the Body (Communication of Mood Between Cyclicality and Modernity) shown at Design Indaba and across Europe.
